Millennials ‘need digital support from banks’

Banks have a key role in helping young people find the right balance between spending and saving, according to research from Intelligent Environments. With the advancement of new, innovative payment technologies, the research indicates that banks may not be adapting quickly enough to changing customer behaviour. The survey of 2,000 18-24 year olds, found that a quarter of young consumers said they spent more using new technologies such as Apple Pay, as it was easier and quicker than alternative payment methods.
